Faith is necessary as we come to terms with the attribute of God's omnipresence. Our human mind simply cannot comprehend how God can be in all places at all times. However, as we believe this and come to understand this deeper, we are able to trust God in a more personal way.
- How can you explain God being all places all of the time?

jiagfoc- Phillip Yancey calls it "Reaching For the Invisible God". I have the book but haven't read it yet.

cwt- it is something that we are told in the Bible that it is true so we must have faith and beleiave it

cwt- our free will limits Him in the sence that God is a gentleman andwill not do anything in our lives without our consent. soo if we say no to God He can't work in our lives the way that He wants to

jiagfoc- If we say no, we limit ourselves by our own doing. This breaks God's heart doesn't it?

cwt- God will still work in our lives but our stuborn will (sin) breaks fellowship and God isnt able to work as freely
cwt- that is where sometimes we see pruneing in our lives... It is God working in our lives when we have said no to Him
Lea- and therefore we do not see the power of God in our lives

sunshine- During one of those difficult times, cwt, God taught me something about the refining of gold.

sunshine- In times past, the refiner would heat the gold to skim off the impurities.
sunshine- He knew it was pure when he would look at the surface and see his own reflection on it!
cwt- it says in in the Bible that Jesus was tempted in every way so that He could comfort us in our times of need

cwt- I love the fact that God is working in my life...even if I am not happy about at the time...to make me into a beautiful woman of God
cwt- I also love that fact that when I am going through trials or sorrow that God is holding my hand through out that time

jiagfoc- When everything external is stripped away, that's when deliverence is coming. It was in the wilderness that Moses saw.
Lea- and as sunshine has said, that I can run to Him and pour out my heart to Him

cohost- II'm always reminded of Peter when jesus called him out ot the boat. It was really stormy! The waves were high. Peter put his trust in Jesus. He did sink but as he focused on Jesus things looked better

Lea- through His word
liagfoc- His presense is revealed in so many ways. People coming into my life right when I need them. A radio bible study that applies to just what I happen to be struggling with, I could go on and on. He is so great.
cwt- He gives peace that is beyond understanding in times of trouble
