| CONSTRUCTION ZONE | |

Last year I watched in fascination as a 100-year-old building was taken down. The process took months as workers preserved selected portions to use in a new building to be erected on the same site.
In more recent months, an artist's rendition of both the interior and exterior of the new building was put on display. Construction materials were moved in. I watched as people worked first to clear the site of the rubble, then dig and pour the new basement, and now to get the shell of the building up and bricked in. People have worked in uncomfortable situations many days, in sub-freezing temperatures, rain, snow, heat -- all for the purpose of constructing a new building in which our community will be served.
Have you ever seen your life as a construction zone, one in which God is actively clearing away the rubble, pouring new foundations, and working through joyous and difficult conditions with the purpose of constructing a new life through which He can be glorified? Men can design and build beautiful buildings, but it takes God to build a life to reflect His grace and glory!
Listen to the Apostle Paul: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians
~ Father, thank You for working in my life, clearing away rubble and building something beautiful. You have a plan, a design. Help me to trust You today as You work in my heart and life. Help me to cooperate with Your work. In Jesus' name, amen.
