" My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life"(Psalm 119:50.)
Dr. Igor Shafhid spent ten years as a medical officer in the Russian Army. But he was disillusioned and going through the pain of a broken relationship.Igor considered suicide.
Then a small group of Americans visited St. Petersburg to share Jesus. As Igor watched, many Russians received their very first Bibles.Dr. Shafhid and a young woman began to discuss the gospel. With a Bible and a dictionary, June Summers translated key scriptures.
Igor was moved. He asked Jesus into his life and everything changed. As he took in the “real daily bread of the Word,” Dr. Shafhid realized all he had missed and asked God to use him.
In 1992, Igor and June were married.Today, Dr. Shafhid is a committed Christian and specialist in counterterrorism.
Friend, be bold! Someone in your world needs to hear about Jesus.
