EVER-INCREASING GLORY

"Do I look different to you?" That is what I asked my husband when God did a wonder in my heart and erased the anger with which I had been living.

As we surrender ourselves to God, in whom we hope, He begins at once the process of transforming us into our future, glorified state.
What is glory? I believe that it is the essence of God visible in me. As a bride glows with the love that consumes her, so believers radiate the beauty, the purity and the goodness of God in us. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory."
Thus, the more we give up ourselves, the more we become a mirror of who He is. Our transformation will not be complete until we reach heaven and see God face to face, but it begins with our unveiling. When we confess the truth that there is nothing in us that can save us, when we put our hope in Christ alone, only then are we changed. And that change is glorious.

We have been promised fullness in Christ, not some power, not some privilege, but His fullness in us. Thus I race toward unveiling, as painful as it has been to admit my anger and my pride, that I might be transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory.

~Oh God, that I might reflect who You are! Reveal the places in my heart that harbor sin that I may be transformed into your likeness. Begin today, I pray.
