Caramel Cider Tea
Caramel Cider Tea Tea that tastes like apple pie - delicious and comforting.


Apple juice (or cider) 4  cups 1  L
Water 2  cups 500  mL
Brown sugar, packed 2  tbsp. 30  mL
Cinnamon stick (4 inch, 10 cm, length)
   
Orange pekoe tea bag
   
Whipped cream (or prepared dessert topping) 1 1/3  cup 325  mL
   
Thick caramel ice cream topping 3  tbsp. 50  mL
Ground cinnamon, sprinkle (optional)    
Cinnamon sticks (4 inch, 10 cm lengths, optional)


Heat apple juice, water, brown sugar and cinnamon stick in large saucepan until boiling. Remove from heat.

Add tea bag. Cover. Let steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bag and cinnamon stick. Ladle into 4 large mugs.

Top each with about 1/3 cup (75 mL) whipped cream.

Put ice cream topping into small resealable freezer bag. Cut tiny hole in 1 corner. Squeeze over whipped cream in zigzag pattern. Dust cinnamon over top. Add 1 cinnamon stick to each mug. Serves 4.
