Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
Mini peanut butter cups make these cookies choc-full of your favorite flavors.


Packed brown sugar 1  cup  
Soft butter 1/2  cup  
Shortening 1/2  cup  
Creamy peanut butter 1/2  cup  
Egg  
Vanilla 2  tsp.  
Rolled oats 1/2  cup  
Flour 2  cups  
Salt 1/4  tsp.  
Chocolate chips 1/2  cup  
Miniature peanut butter cups 36   


Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.). Combine sugar, butter, shortening, peanut butter, egg and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Add oats, flour and salt. Mix until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Shape dough into 1 1/4" balls. Place 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 10-14 minutes, or until set. Immediately press peanut butter cups into the center of each cookie. Let cool for two minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Serves: Three dozen
